Fine Tuning DESQview
(Customizing and Trouble Shooting)
This hands-on course will cover advanced DESQview installation
options, detailed descriptions of the "Change a Program" fields,
tricks for configuring an ideal PC multitasking environment, and
trouble shooting options for DESQview.
The DESQview "Change Program" options for allocating memory, CPU,
and graphics resources will be presented with an emphasis on
optimizing resource allocation and resolving potential conflicts.
Additionally, the options that determine if a program should be
multitasked (and tap into the CPU resources), or be "swapped"
(hence quickly available for use, but not actually requiring CPU
resources) will be discussed.
Knowledge of the differences between conventional, expanded, and
extended memory is required for this class. A text primer,
including copies of the overheads used in the course, and a free
copy of Manifest, Quarterdeck's memory analysis utility are
included in the cost of the course. For informtation call (213)
392-9851 and ask for the Training Dept.
